» Jaipur
Popularly known as the 'Pink City', Jaipur is one of the most famous tourist spots in India. The architectural wonders including the City Palace, Amer Fort and the Hawa Mahal are worth seeing. The markets of Jaipur also offer the tourists a lot to see and shop.
» Jodhpur
The most famous landmark of Jodhpur, the city situated besides the Thar desert, is the Mehrangarh Fort. The museum and the Umaid Bhawan Palace are other places of tourist interest in the city.
» Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is famous for its sandstone carvings and block printed fabrics which are exported to all parts of the world. The golden fort made of sandstone and the carved mansions and Jain temples are worth seeing. Jaisalmer plays host to the annual desert festival which is very popular among tourists from all over.
» Pushkar
Pushkar is famous among other things for the annual cattle and camel fair held here in November every year which pulls a lot of merchants, sellers and tourists to this place. There are a large number of temples including the famous Brahma temple.

Culture
Rajasthan offers a varied and diverse culture. The principle language of the state is Rajasthani which is fast being replaced by Hindi, the official language of the state. Music and dance are an integral part of the Rajasthani culture. Dances accompanied by folk music are used to narrate stories of the fabled battles of the Rajputs. Hinduism is the main religion of Rajasthan while other religions like Jainism and Islam religion also have some followers. The art and architecture of Rajasthan are one of a kind. The handicraft items of Rajasthan are exported to many countries. The architecture shows in the forts, temples and beautifully carved havelis. The state is also known for its mouthwatering cuisine which consists of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The main food item is dal, bati and choorma which can be found in all parts of Rajasthan.
Climate
The climate of Rajasthan can be divided into four seasons: summer, monsoon, post-monsoon and winters. The summer season extends from April to June with temperatures ranging from 32 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees. The temperature in some parts of Rajasthan may go up to 48 degrees. There is considerable difference between the temperatures of day and night time. The monsoon season extends from July to September when temperatures drops cosiderably and the people get a much needed respite from the burning summer sun. The post monsoon season is during the months of October and November when the temperature ranges between 18 and 38 degrees Celsius. The last season is the winter season during the months of December to March when the temperatures may drop as low as 0 degrees in some cities of the state.
