Days
Day 1
Arrive Delhi, assistance on arrival and transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Morning free. Afternoon, guided visit to old Delhi.
Day 2
After early breakfast transfer to the railway station for train to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Arrive and transfer in Ranthambore Bagh, deluxe tented camp. Ranthambore was one of the original areas covered by Project Tiger, the park covers an area of 389sq.kms. Afternoon free. Evening set of by jeep for game viewing with expert naturalist. Overnight in Tented camp.
Day 3
Early morning game viewing, return back to camp for breakfast, a day to explore the bazaars, and the fort. Evening visit the park again for game viewing. Overnight in Camp.
Day 4
After breakfast a short drive to the world's best birdwatching location- Bharatpur. The journey gives us chance to meet local people and visit villages enroute. Arrive in Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana National Park) and stay for two nights in Palace hotel. Evening visit to the park by cycle rickshaw. Overnight in heritage hotel.
Day 5
Day spent in park. You will see an outstanding range of waterbirds and reptiles here, and even some mammals too! Commonly cited species include Painted Storks, White Ibises, Darters, Spoonhills and rare species such as the threatened Siberian Crane, Pallas's, Sea Eagle, Black headed Stork and the Spotted Creeper. Other interesting wildlife including the rare Black buck, Small - Clawed Otter, Fishing Cat, Jungle Cat and Indian Python may also be cited. O/n Palace hotel.
Day 6
A short drive of 60kms to Agra, journey bringing us first to the sand stone Mughal buildings at Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive Agra in the afternoon and heck in the hotel. Afternoon visit to the grand Red Fort. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7
Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal, set within the paradise gardens, return back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visit to Tomb of Akbar (Great Mughal king) at Sikandra and also visit to the Tomb of Itimad ud Daula, often referred as jewel of Agra. Afternoon board overnight train to Bhandavgarh at 1600hrs. Travel by 2nd class Air-conditioned sleeper berth- an experience not to be missed.
Day 8
Arrive early morning at 0630hrs and transfer by jeep/s to Bhandavgarh National park (30kms), Set among the Vindhya hills of Madhya Pradesh, stretching over an area of 168 sq. miles (437 sq. km.). Here our three nights stay will be in a beautiful jungle resort (Nature Heritage Resort), close to the park. This is the best location to see the endangered Tiger in broad daylight, the park also supports numerous kind of birds. Evening Elephant Safari to view the tiger. All meals and overnight in resort.
Day 9/10
Two full days game viewing by Jeep and elephant with expert naturalist.
Day 11
After early breakfast transfer to the railway station for train to Varanasi at 0700hrs. Arrive in Varanasi at 1600hrs and transfer to the hotel for overnight.
Day 12
Ganga Ghat - VaranasiThe day begins with an early morning boat ride on the Ganges-a spectacular scene not to me missed. Watch the holy men and local people having sacred bath as the sun rises, return back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visit the Buddhist sight of Sarnath, ancient temples and bazaars. Overnight in hotel.
Day 13
After breakfast fly to Delhi, arrive and transfer to airport hotel. After dinner transfer to the airport for return flight.
Day 14
Early morning flight back.
