Taragarh Palace - Kangra.Taragarh Palace
Tucked away in the quiet Kangra Valley surrounded by tea gardens and forest, Taragarh Palace was built in the early 1930s and is still owned by the local Royal family. All 12 rooms are furnished with colonial furniture and offer magnificent views of the snow capped Dauladhar range.
Judges Court - Kangra.
Built as a gift for Justice Sir Jai Lal - wonderfully decorated with colonial ambiance. It is set in fruit orchards and facing the Dhauladhar mountain range, the property has been well maintained by its charming owner.
Orchid Retreat - Kalimpong.
Consists of six cottages with thatched roofing and mud-plaster walls, set in terraced natural garden with stone paved walkways. The garden has been beautifully restored by its charming owner and his family, who grow exotic orchids, ferns and flowering plants. Guests have meals with the family and you can even pick-up some cooking hints while you are there.

Set in plum and peach orchards with spectacular views of the Garhwal Himalaya, this estate is run by a local family. Named after mountains and great saints, all cottages are beautifully designed and offer fine views of Kumaon Himalaya. It was brought from Sir Henry Ramsay for Mahatma Gandhi.
Nalagarh Fort - Nalagarh.
It was built in 1421 and is owned and run by the Raja of Nalagarh. All 15 rooms are beautifully decorated with fine views of Shivalik hills.
Spring Fields - Shimla.
The summer palace of the ex-Raja of Sheikarpur and his Rani. Originally built in 1941 by an aristocrat from Lahore (now part of Pakistan). Although some rooms have seen better days, Springfields has original furnishings and a well maintained garden
Windamere - Darjeeling
It is "one of the jewels of the Raj" established in 19th century as a cozy boarding house for bachelor English and Scottish tea planters, it was converted into hotel just before the outbreak of the second world war. Has a lovely and unique ambiance and charm.
Cliff Top - Auli.
Spread over eight acres of land, these well designed modern Bungalows are set in a lovely garden, offer fine views of the Garhwal Himalaya and Nanda Devi. In winter, Clifftop becomes a playground for skiers.
Mussoorie Valley Roads Uley Tokpo (Camp) - Ladakh

Kasmanda Palace - Mussoorie
One of the oldest buildings of Mussoorie - originally a part of the Christ Church. It was built in 1836 and later became a school, before being the summer retreat of the royal family of Kasmanda in 1915. A beautiful palace, with lovely gardens and rooms with colonial furniture.
