Duration: 13 Nights / 14 Days
Day 1
On your arrival at Johannesburg International Airport,
you will be met and assisted by a Spectrum Tour, English speaking
registered tour guide, who will hand over to you all the documents
necessary for further travels. The tour guide will also assist you
with a collection of your rental car up at the airport. We suggest
making a use of a free mobile phone services. Depart to Swaziland
consulate, where your visa will be issued to enable you to travel
via Swaziland. Flight booked by you.
Please note: Due to Swaziland Consulate being
open Mon – Fri, we suggest that clients will arrive in Johannesburg during
the week.
Once you have your visa, visit Gold Reef City, where various
attractions and excursions take place. A tour of the Gold Reef
Mine lasts approximately 3-4 hours, the mineshaft is 226m deep.
Enjoy the museums that depict historic Johannesburg and watch
tribal dancing. All entrance and excursions fees are to your own
account. Lunch and dinner will be at your leisure (to own
account). Overnight at a hotel in Johannesburg.
Day 2
Breakfast. Morning departure via Pretoria (approx.
distance 40 km), where you may visit:
* The Voortrekker Monument, commemorated to a Great
Trek.
* Palace of Justice & Union Buildings (today’s parliament
buildings)
House of Paul Kruger, the president of regitime.
Depart for Mpumalanga – the place where the sun rises (approx.
traveling time 4 hours). The highlights of the route are:
* The Blyde River Canyon, third deepest in the world with
world famous Three Rondavels.
* Bourke’s Luck Potholes, where the fascinating geological
formations, resembling large,
hollowed-out columns, are the result of millions of years of
water erosion.
* From God’s window you will be able to overlook the
Mpumalanga province.
* Time permitting a stop can be made at Pilgrim’s Rest
Village, a living museum.
All entrance and excursions fees are to your own account. Lunch

Day 3
Breakfast. This morning you will continue to world
famous Kruger National Park, the largest game reserve in South
Africa, spanning some two million hectares. It is one of the most
renowned repositories of bird and animal life in the world. The
closest gate is Numbi Gate (approx. 15 minutes away). You will be
able to purchase information brochures and maps of KNP at the
Gate’s shop or in a Rest Camps. From here on, you can enjoy game
viewing in your vehicle. You should never leave your vehicle,
unless in a designated area. Remember you are in a Big Five area.
Please note that maximum speed limit throughout the Park is 50
km/h. Follow the sign boards towards Skukuza Rest Camp, where your
accommodation is arranged. It is 54 km, but taking into
consideration your driving limits and stops you will allow for
game viewing it may take up to 2 hours to reach the Camp. Lunch
and dinner is available at the Rest Camp (to own account). Enjoy a
night 4x4 game drive in KNP (23 seater vehicle). Overnight at
Skukuza Rest Camp. (B)
Please note: Due to the hot weather, animals
are most active at night or an early morning, therefore we suggest these times
for game viewing, which are only available with a specialized game rangers.
Game viewing during the day in your own vehicle is only possible, while the
gates are open (season depending, usually 06h00 – 18h00).
Day 4
An early morning game drive in a 4x4 open vehicle (23
seater vehicle) will be followed by the breakfast at the rest
camp. Spend the full day at leisure. You may explore the Park in
your own vehicle or enjoy the hot African sun by the swimming
pool. Additional game activities (walking, game drive, bird
watching) can be arranged at the Park (to own account). Lunch and
dinner is available at the Rest Camps (to own account). Overnight
at Skukuza Rest Camp. (B)
Please note: You may enjoy lunch and dinner
in any other Rest Camps, not only at Skukuza. Kindly make sure you obey the
gate opening and closing times.
Day 5
Breakfast. Depart to Swaziland via Malelane gate. The
border crossing Jeppes Reef/ Matsamu is opened from 07h00 – 20h00.
We suggest visiting The Matsamo Park which is situated 49km from
the Malelane Gate (just before the Swaziland border post). It
consists of an arts and crafts centre, an alfresco restaurant and
two authentic Swazi villages. Tourists visiting the park go on
guided tours through the villages, are treated to folk dance and
other cultural performing arts and enjoy food and refreshments in
the restaurant (entrance fee to your own account). Enjoy a
traditional African meal lunch (to own account). After lunch enter
Swaziland where you can visit candle and glass markets. Please be
aware that herdsman use the roads in Swaziland and you should
watch out for animals in the road. Do not exceed the speed limit.
Dinner will be at your leisure (to own account). We suggest the
Kalabash restaurant, well known for its delicious foods and
excellent service. Overnight at a hotel in Swaziland. (B)
Day 6
Breakfast. Depart for KwaZulu Natal – a subtropical
wonderland (approx. distance 380 km). KwaZulu Natal is the
homeland of the Zulu’s and was where the mighty warrior, King
Shaka lived. Lunch en-route, to own account. On your arrival in
the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, the oldest in South Africa, the rest of
the day will be at your leisure. An optional visit to a
traditional DumaZulu village for a cultural experience can be
arranged (to own account). Dinner will be at your leisure (to own
account). Overnight at a rest camp in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve.

Day 7
Early morning game drive in Hluhluwe Game Reserve
followed by breakfast. The rest of the day will be at your
leisure. Optional game activities can be arranged at the Park (to
own account). Lunch and dinner will be at your leisure (to own
account). Overnight at a Hilltop Camp in Hluhuwe Game Reserve. (B)
Day 8
Early morning game drive in Hluhluwe Game Reserve
followed by breakfast. The rest of the morning will be at your
leisure. Continue the journey via St. Lucia, (approx. distance 70
km), where a 2 hour cruise on the St Lucia Lake can be enjoyed.
After the cruise continue to Umhlanga, the Dolphin Coast’s premier
tourist destination (approx. distance 220 km). With a wonderful
climate, long, clean beaches and safe bathing in a sparkling sea,
it is easy to see why. Dinner will be at your leisure (to own
account). Overnight at a hotel in Umhlanga. (B)
Day 9 - 10
Breakfast. Full days at leisure. Enjoy the hot
African sun and many beautiful beaches. Lunch and dinner will be
at your leisure (to own account). We suggest tasting Indian
cuisine, which is very popular in this part of the country.

Day 11
Breakfast. This morning depart to Durban (approx.
distance 50 km), South Africa’s third largest city and Africa’s
busiest port. No trip to Durban is complete without a ride on one
of the many rickshaws run by flamboyant local rickshaw men up and
down the beachfront. Drive to Durban International Airport, where
you will drop of your rental car and check-in at a designated
counter for your flight to Cape Town. Flight booked by
you.
On your arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be
able to pick your rental car. Time permitting, enjoy a Cape Town
city tour, which should include visits to (to own account):
* City centre
* The Company Gardens are the oldest gardens in South Africa,
established in 1652 by Jan Van Riebeeck to supply fresh produce to
passing ships.
* South African Museum the oldest museum in sub-Saharan Africa
was established in 1825 and represents a classic meeting of nature
and culture. (R10-00pp)
* Table Mountain is Cape Town’s most famous attraction and is
1 086m above sea level. (Weather permitting)
* Bo-Kaap Traditional Malay Quarter – a brightly coloured Cape
Town’s quarter.
* Victoria & Alfred Waterfront – most popular entertainment
and shopping area.
* Robben Island- the inspiration to Nelson Madela’s book, Long

Day 12
Breakfast. We suggest visiting the Cape of Good Hope
and Cape Point with the following stops (to own account):
* Atlantic Seaboard and its beautiful coastal road
* Hout Bay to enjoy the scenery and craft market in a harbour
area. Cruise to Duiker Island to view seal colony (in Hout Bay)

* Boulder’s Beach, some 3000 penguins strong colony. (R10-00
pp)
* Cape Point Nature Reserve and Cape of Good Hope – 7 750
hectares of reserve are home to indigenous flora and fauna,
inlcuding Baboon, Eland and over 150 species of bird including the
biggest bird in the world, the Ostrich.
* Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a world famous garden of
indigenous plants. (R18-00 pp)
Lunch and dinner will be at your leisure (to own account). We
suggest lunch in any of the seafood restaurants in Simon’s Town or
Kalk Bay (Bertha’s, Seaforth, Black Marlin, Polana etc.), as the
food is always fresh and superbly prepared. Overnight at a hotel

Day 13
Breakfast. Spend the day at leisure. Enjoy last minute
shopping or visit places you haven’t seen yet. An optional
cultural day excursion is available (to be pre-arranged with
Spectrum Tour) or visit The Diamond Works a working museum and
manufacturer of precious stones. Lunch will be at your leisure (to
own account). Spectrum Tour would like to invite you for a
complimentary farewell dinner in a nearby African restaurant
(drinks to own account). Overnight at a hotel in Cape Town. (B,D)
Day 14
Breakfast. Morning at leisure before you check-out from
your Hotel. Depart to Cape Winelands, South Africa’s prime wine
making area (approx. distance 60 km from Cape Town city centre and
35 km from Cape Town International Airport). Visit Stellenbosch,
the second oldest city in South Africa, it is renowned for its
Cape Dutch buildings, university, rugby and Oak Tree lined
streets. Wine and cheese tasting can be enjoyed at various wine
estates and cellars (to own account). We suggest enjoying your
lunch at any of the wine estates (to own account). Depending on
you departure flight, return your rental car at the kiosk, settle
the necessary documents and check-in at the designated counter for
