PLANNING YOUR FUTURE HOLIDAY? TAKE
A TRIP BACK IN TIME!
No visit to the idyllic west of Ireland is complete without a step back into history and mythology at the recently established Cruachan Aí Visitor Centre.
Cruachan Aí is a modern, award-winning Visitor and Interpretive Centre situated in the charming village of Tulsk nestling on the banks of the legendary river Ogulla in the heart of County Roscommon.
Here we welcome you to a unique experience in a place of mystery and legend!
The Centre brings together the archaeology, history and mythology of one of the most important Celtic Royal sites in Europe
According to the ancient annals of Ireland the site was a Royal Palace, legendary home of Medb, Warrior Queen and Earth Goddess and the inauguration site and Burial Ground of the Kings of Connacht, Ireland’s most westerly province.
Entrance to the Otherworld! A sacred landscape set apart. Cruachan was the location of one of the three famous feiseanna of Ireland. This area is the setting for the opening and the bloody conclusion of the epic literary saga Táin Bó Cuailnge – The Cattle Raid of Cooley.
What Can We See and Do?
