Day 1 Early this morning, you
will be driven from Delhi to Agra. On arrival, you will be transferred to
your hotel.
Check in to your hotel.
You will be booked at Hotel
Holiday Inn, Agra for a stay of 1 night.
You will then be taken on a
city tour of Agra. You tour includes a visit to one of the most spectacular
monuments ever built- the Taj Mahal. Steeped in romance, the Taj Mahal is a
dream etched in milky white pristine marble, a peerless monument portraying
the beauty of eternal love! A commemoration of the memory of Shahjahan's
beloved wife, Mumtaz. Taj Mahal is indeed India's rich tribute to womanhood.
Renowned for its aesthetic beauty, this extravagant building of timeless
beauty is the outcome of a unique combination of passion and architectural
exuberance. You will then visit the Agra Fort. The Fort in Agra is one of
the earliest surviving Mughal buildings in the city. Agra Fort also
represents the first major building project of Emperor Akbar, though remains
of only a few buildings built by him now survive.
Later, you will
return to your hotel.
Day 2 This morning, after breakfast, you will leave behind the
city of the Taj Mahal and drive towards Jaipur. Enroute, you will stop at
Fatehpur Sikhri.
On arrival at the Pink City of Jaipur, you will be
booked at Hotel Samode Haveli for stay of 1 night.
Day 3 After breakfast visit Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan, this
picturesque city is a symphony in pink, a colour that symbolizes hospitality
in Rajput culture. Morning excursion to Amber Fort - One of the finest
example of Rajput architecture, situated on a hillside and overlooking a
lake which reflects the fort's ramparts and terraces. Make your ascent to
the palace fortress on the gaily-caparisoned elephant back. Tour the chamber
& hallways of the palace, which are famous for the excellence of their
design & decoration. You will then visit the unique Jantar Mantar
Observatory, which was built in 1700's, yet even today still looks
futuristic or almost surrealistic: The City Palace & its museum, which
houses a rare combination of the finest blends of Rajasthani & Mughal
architecture with a collection of Royal costumes, armoury with arms &
old paintings and the Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds.
Early
evening transfer to the railway station in time to board train Intercity
express for Jodhpur. Dep: Jaipur at 1720hrs Arr: Jodhpur 2245 hrs
On
arrival in Jodhpur, you will be met and the transfer to the hotel will be
arranged for you.
You will be booked at Hotel Ajit Bhawan for a stay
of 1 night.
Day 4 This morning, after
breakfast, you will head west towards Jaisalmer, the golden mirage in the
heart of Thar Desert. You will drive through some spectacular desert scenery
through the heart of this colourful state.
On arrival, you will be
booked at Gorbandh Palace for a stay of 2 nights.
Day 5 This morning after breakfast, you will enjoy a sightseeing
tour of Jaisalmer. You will visit the fabulous fort, built by Maharana
Jaisel in 1156 AD - the 2nd oldest in Rajasthan. It is situated on a
triangular mount 76 meters above ground leve. You will visit the Jain temple
built in 12th century BC, the folk museum, Patva-Ki-haveli, Salem Singh Ki
haveli and Diwan Nathmal Ki haveli, Badal Niwas palace. You will return to
your hotel through narrow cobbled streets.
This afternoon, you
will be driven to the Khuri village located 45km east of Jaisalmer. It is a
traditional village with cluster of thatch roof houses, and the people still
wear their traditional attire. Bordering the village are high rolling sand
dunes for miles together. A Camel ride or camel safari on these dunes is a
lifetime experience.
Day 6 Early this
morning, you will set out back towards Jodhpur.
On arrival, you will
be booked at the Hotel Ajit Bhawan for a stay of 2 nights.
Day 7 After
breakfast at enjoy a sight seeing tour of Jodhpur - gateway to the desert
beyond, home of the Rathores of Marwar. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, rising up
on a hilly scrap, built on the advice of a hermit, which over looks the
cities blue houses, the image of a long sentinel. Inside the fort are a
number of palaces added by successive ruler and the canon rampart. Also
visits the Jaswanth Thada, richly carved white marble cenotaph of Maharaja
Jaswant Singh ii, which preserves the genealogy of the rulers of Jodhpur
along with their life-size portraits.
This afternoon you can enjoy
a Jeep safari to a Bishnoi village - s memorable outing in jeeps visit
various traditional village seeing local handicrafts viz shoe makers,
pottery hand weaving and also men in their traditional attire, women clad
with ancestral silver Jewellery, en-route watch and photograph wildlife
black buck, chinkaras, peacock etc. freely moving in abundance protected by
"Bishnois" Protectors of wildlife and tree.
Day 8 After breakfast this morning drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur.
Enroute you will visit Ranakpur, the famous Jain temples, dating back to the
15th Century. Its 29 halls are supported by 1444 pillars none of, which are
similar. The temple abounds with intricate friezes and sculptures.
Continue your drive to "Lake City" upon arrival check into your
hotel.
You will be booked at the Hotel Trident for a stay of 2 nights.
Day 9 After breakfast this morning,
enjoy a City tour visiting the City Palace museum, Jagdish temple, Bhartiya
Lok Kala Mandir, Sahelion Ki Bari, Fatehsagar lake, returning to hotel for
lunch.
This afternoon enjoy a cruise on the placid waters to lake
Pichola. From the boat you will be able to view the city of Udaipur as it
rises majestically above the lake in the middle of the Rajasthan desert.
Also visit the Jag Mandir palace - the other lovely island palace in the
middle of the lake.
Day 10 The
transfer to the airport will be arranged for you. You will be booked on a
flight from Udaipur to Delhi.
