Itinerary
Day
1: Nagercoil (Kanyakumari)Arrive Nagercoil station. Pick up from
airport and transfer to hotel in Kanyakumari. Embark on a sightseeing trip
of Kanykumari. Visit the Kumari Amman Temple and also the Vivekananda Rocks.
The Kumari Amman temple, here, is dedicated to Parvati as Devi - Kanya - the
virgin goddess who did penance to obtain the hand of Lord Shiva. Two rocks
reach out of the ocean, south-east of the Kumari Amman temple. One of these
is Sri Padaparai, where the footprints of the virgin goddess are to be seen.
On this rock, Swami Vivekananda is said to have sat in deep meditation; and
here stands the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, built in 1970. From here the
great Swami started his journey to revive India and the world. Day free.
Overnight at hotel in Kanyakumari. Evening free. Overnight at hotel in
Kanyakumari.
Day 2: Kanyakumari - Kovalam
Breakfast. In the morning transfer to Kovalam by car. Check in hotel. The
fishing village of Kovalam lies 10 kilometres south of Thiruvananthapuram,
the capital of Kerala. Keralas internationally renowned beach
destination, Kovalam has been a favourite tourist haunt since the 1930s.
Made of three adjacent crescent-shaped beaches, Kovalam offers excellent
water sports facilities. Free day. Overnight at hotel in Kovalam.
Day
3: Kovalam - Alleppey Breakfast. In the morning transfer to
Alleppey by car and board houseboat for the day. Alleppey for its exquisite
natural serene beauty is known as the Venice of the East. Tour the backwater
jewels of Kerela. Lunch and dinner on board. Overnight on houseboat.
Day 4: Alleppey - Thekkady Breakfast and de board from houseboat.
Transfer to Thekkady by car. Check in hotel. Periyar famous for the wild
life sanctuary and elephants. Most part of Kerela's spices grow here. Also
checkout for Peermade a plantation town providing you the chance to
experience the mist. Evening enjoy boating at Periyar Lake viewing wild
life. Overnight at hotel in Thekkady.
Day
5: Thekkady - MunnarBreakfast. Sightseeing of Thekkady and Periyar
wild life sanctuary. Sightseeing in Periyar includes Periyar Tiger Reserve.
Elephant ride and Trekking inside the Reserver is optional. Enjoy the trip
to spice plantations. Later transfer to Munnar. Check in hotel. Munnar is
filled with tea gardens, trout-filled streams, placid lakes and winding
roads. Munnar is meant for walking/ trekking. So just walk around the hill
station to enjoy Munnar. Evening enjoy boating on shikaras at Munnar Lake.
Overnight at hotel in Munnar.
Day 6: Munnar
Breakfast. In the morning sightseeing of Munnar. Munnar sightseeing
includes visit to Mattuppetty, Echopoint, Kundale, Top Station, Rajamalai,
Luckom Falls, Marayoor, Chinnar, Pallivasal and Pothamedu. Overnight at
hotel in Munnar.
Day 7: Munnar -Cochin
Breakfast. In the morning transfer to Cochin and check in hotel. Cochin, the
commercial capital of Kerala, has a magnificent natural harbor created by
the underwater malabar mud banks that ensure calm waters. Later sightseeing
of Cochin by car followed by a village backwater cruise on the backwaters.

Day 8: Cochin -
Onwards Breakfast. In time transfer to Cochin airport / station for
onward journey.
