Capital of Shekawati was another stronghold of the Kayamkhani Nawabas till 1730 when Shardul Singh established Hindu rule and his descendants ruled this region till India's Independences. There exist many artistically painted Havelis. Other important places to visit are Badolgarh, Jarawargarh, Mertani Boari, Birdi Chand ka Kuan and Jain temple.

§ Mukundgar : Mukundgarh fort is now a heritage hotelandthe town has many havelis.

§ Bagad : Founded by the Nagad Pathans in 15th century it is known as the home of Rungtas and Piramalas.

§ Chirwa : Trading town located between Churu and Loharu. There are havelis of Nand Lal Dalmia, Tara Chand Dalmia and Mongal Chand Dalmia.

§ Pilani : Home of Birla's, it has a large campus of the Birla Institue of technology and Science.

§ Surajgarh And Kajra : Thre is a fort built towards the end of 18th century. ALSISAR AND MALASISAR. These town founded in the late and mid 18th century respectively, have angular type of the frescoes and their different paletter are refreshing. One can witness the fort, temples and havelis along the main street at Malsisar.

§ Bissau : Founded in the mid 18th century it has Chhatries of its Thakurs and havelis to visit.

§ Mahansar : Founded in the mid 18th century, it is worthwhile to visit the Sone-Chandi-ki-Haveli and the Raghunath Temple, both built by Poddars.

§ Nawalgarh : Some of the country's leading merchant families come from this little town. Roop Niwas, Saat Haveli, two old forts and a palace are worth visiting.

§ Dundlod : A fort and a palace and the Goenka's Haveli have some find frescoes.
