Shaheen Bagh is located in the Doon Valley on the bank
of Tons River. The Shaheen Bagh is the home of avid ornithologist and a
graphic designer. This is now open for the visitors who want to open a getaway
in the midst of nature. The Shaheen Bagh with an adjoining cottage, is situated
in the 7 acre area that is verdant with orchards and groov. There are many
exotic and rare species of plants and trees.
There is a Single bedroom cottage with attached bathroom,sitting rooms and
varandah. There are 4 bedrooms in the main house. All the rooms have attached
bathrooms with running hot and cold water and shower. It is well equipped
with all the modern facilities. There is a formal sitting and dinning room
for the tourists. All rooms are air-conditioned.
The House and cottage are designed in the colonial bungalow style that has
sloping roofs, wide varandah and decorated monkey tops. You can enjoy the
spectacular vistas of Dehradoon and Mussorrie and all the surrounding hills.
All the rooms are elegantly well furnished and beautifully decorated with
furniture and antique fittings and articles.
From Shaheen Bagh the visitors can take a day trip to Mussoorie that is
just 45 minutes by road, Rajaji forest Sanctuary just 1 hour away. Picnic
at Landour, Clouds End and Dhanaulti are the other attractions of the place.
The Lodge is heaven for the birds watchers. There are over 370 species of
birds, including The Brown Dipper, forktails and sunbirds. There is a vast
library just above the drawing room that offers the opportunities for the
book lovers during your leisure time. The lodge provide Cable TV and Internet
facility, direct dialling STD/ISD telephone, laundary, doctor on call and
other services.
