§ Mangesh Temple: The 400-year-old Mangeshi temple is the most famous temple-. A unique feature of this temple is multi-storied lamp tower. The famous singer, Lata Mangeshkar's ancestral home is located in this Mangesh village.

§ Madgaon or Margaon Madgaon is the commercial capital of Goa, capital of the Salcete province. It is well connected by rail and road. Madgaon is famous for its well maintained gardens and beautiful houses. The houses are built on Latin American pattern and look-wise resemble Mexico. The king of the beaches the COL V A BEACH is located at a distance of 6 km from Madgaon (40 km from Panaji). BENAULIM BEACH is 2 km south of Colva. Other important beaches are VARCA BEACH and BETUL BEACH.
