This pioneering wildlife adventure tour to two of India's most exciting national parks: Namdapha and Kaziranga in the hill states of north-east have always held a very special attraction for nature lovers. Travelling through remote areas with limited tourist infra-structure, roads are poorly maintained and hotels and rest houses are basic. On the plus side, walking, which is strictly restricted in most Indian Tiger Reserves, is encouraged in Namdapha and permitted in parts of Kaziranga. This means that we can truly immerse ourselves in exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities on offer during this adventurous expedition!
Duration : 10 Nights / 11 Days

Day
2. Delhi-Dibrugarh(fly)-Namdapha(Drive 205kms): After early breakfast transfer
to the airport for flight to Dibrugarh. Arrive and board jeep/s, and drive
towards the Burmese border. Covering 1,980sq.kms and ranging in altitude
from 200 to 4,500mts above sea level. Namdapha has a great variety of forest
habitats and is the only reserve which is inhabited by all of Asia's four
great cats: tiger, lepord, clouded lepord and snow lepord.
We will base ourselves in a simple rest house, situated in the most picturesque
of settings, surrounded by forest which is excellent for woodpeckers, trushes,
robins, laughing- thrushes and hoolock gibbons. During our stay we will
explore the park's varied network of trails.
Day 3. Namdapha National Park: Explore.
Day 4/5. Namdapha Trek: After breakfast we begin our two days gentle trek through the beautiful forests, following a trail that passes through pristine lowland rainforest to our campsite at Hornbill. If the sun is out this must rate among the best birding walks in Asia. We will encounter mixed flocks containing barwings, parrot bills, scimitar-babblers, sibias and sultan tits. we will also see groups of long tailed broadbills, flocks of wrethed and rufous necked hornbills, and peacock pheasants. . . all adding up to an unforgettable birding experience! This delightful walk also provides opportunity to observe disco: hoolock gibbons, capped langurs and the meter-long malayan giant squirrels. Namdapha is notable too for the birds of prey and river birds, in particular the ease of finding such specialties as white-tailed sea eagle, wallace's hawk-eagle, pied falconet, ibisbill and blyth's kingfisher.
Day 6. Namdapha-Kazaringa National Park(Drive380kms): After breakfast, drive full day east. The park consists of 4:30 Sq. kilometer of low-laying grassland sprinkled with shallow lakes and woodlands. Our lodge here is comperatively luxurious and excursions are by jeep and elephant! Kaziranga is famous for its 1000 strong population of one-horned rhinoceros and wild water buffalo, but the reserve rivals Bharatpur for wetland birds and supports localized and endangered grassland species such as swamp partridge and Bengal florican. Kaziranga is divided into three ranges each with its own character and highlights. The popular central range supports higher densities of rhino, elephant and water buffalo, but it is the eastern range which offers some of the most exciting and varied wildlife-watching in Kaziranga. At Sohola wheel we should see greater adjutant stork, pallas and grey headed fishing eagle and a great variety of other waterfowl. Otters are frequently seen on a nearby river, and the woodlands harbour woodpeckers, fairy bluebirds, flocks of spot-winged stares, warblers and much more. It is in this less visited region of the park that we have the best chance of perhaps finishing our trip on a high note with views of tiger or sun bear.
Day 6 to 8. Kaziranga: Exploration by jeep, elephant and foot. Stay in comfortable Jungle Lodge.
Day 9. Kaziranga-Guwahati: After breakfast drive about 240kms. Guwahati retains a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with very busy market place. Late afternoon visit to 10th century Janardhan Temple housing a unique Budda image. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10. Guwahati-Delhi (fly): After early breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel airport hotel Ashok Country Resort. Afternoon guided sightseeing to Qutub Minar, and last minute shopping. Late night transfer to the airport for return flight.
Day
11. Early morning flight to home Country.
