A journey of a lifetime, combining breathtaking Himalayan scenery; exciting and challenging mountain biking; rich history, culture and religion and of course plenty of time to relax and soak up the atmosphere. You will be biking over some of the world's highest passes and passing thorough a diversity of different landscapes, including the wild and barren 'moonscape' of Ladakh, the lush pine forests of the Kullu Valley, rushing glacial rivers and picturesque villages.

Day
1. On arrival in Delhi:
Assistance and garland welcome and transfer to domestic airport for early
morning flight to Leh (3500mts). Arrive Leh and transfer by jeeps to Ladakhi
style hotel for 3 nights. A day free to relax, soak up the atmosphere and
acclimatise to the altitude. Lunch/ dinner and O/n hotel.
Day
2. Leh-Hemis (45 kms.):
Full day of sightseeing, visiting the three most important monasteries of
Ladakh Hemis Gompa, Thiksey Gompa and Shey Palace. Hemis is one of the largest
and wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh and is home to about 150 monks; it
also stages the annual Hemis festival. The Gompa, nestled in a gorge and
surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, was built in the 18th century and
houses a wide range of beautiful frescoes, thankas, Buddha statues and an
excellent library. On the way back to Leh, we visit the superbly situated,
16th century, Thiksey Gompa, which is perched on a hill top. Last stop is
the ruined Shey Palace, once the summer palace of the pre-Tibetan kings.
The palace monastery houses a large, bronze, blue haired Buddha statue.
O/n at Leh hotel.
Day
3. Leh :
Morning free to relax in the hotel garden or wander around the town. Afternoon
with the bikes loaded onto jeeps, we drive to Shantistupa. From here, we
start our first bike ride - a gentle downhill ride of 10 km, stopping enroute
at Shankar Gompa. Breakfast/lunch/dinner and overnight in hotel.

4. Leh/Khrugla descent:
With bikes loaded onto jeeps, we drive over the highest motorable pass in
the world - Khardung La (5380). From here, we start our 1800 mts descent
to Leh, negotiating some rough and broken tarmac roads along the way, O/n
in hotel.
Day
5. Leh to Miru (60kms):
After early breakfd5t we star our epic journey by cycling to Upshi (3384mts/51
kms). Enroute if time allows we visit to the stunning Shey Palace and Thiksey
monastery Overnight in tents with fine views.

6. Miru to Tanglang (65 kms) :
After early breakfast we begin our ascent to the world's second highest
road pass (Tanglang-la/5360mts). From here we will have incredible views
of the himalaya, and will descend through hairpin bends to overnight camp
near Debring.

7. Tanglang to Pang (76 kms) :
After breakfast cycle to Pang through the dramatic. scenery with many ascents
and descents, we arrive our campsite in the evening at Pang (4,630mts).
O/n in camp.

8. Pang to Brandy Nallah (about 35 kms):
Early departure for a challenging 5065mts ascent to Lachalang La, which
offers fantastic views on either side. From the pass, we will have an incredible
descent of approximately 600mts, navigating a series of dramatic hairpin
bends, to our camp site at Brandy Nallah.
Day
9. Brandy Nallah to Barachala La Base (40kms):
We start on a tarmac road, which leads on to a rough track and a gradual
climb to our camp at the base of Barach ala.

10. Baracha La Base to Jispa (43 kms):
We start our steep ascent to Baralacha La (4892) which stands at the cross
roads of Spiti, Zanskar and Rupshu and offers beautiful views of the Chandra-Bhaga
range. From here, we descend to our camp at)jispa.
Day
11. Jipsa to Koksar (65kms):
After breakfast cycle to Koksar (about 3600mts), which is at the base of
Rothang Pass. Camp for overnight.
Day
12. Koksar to Manali (65kms):
From hear we will start our last challenging ascent to the Rohtang Pass
(3990m), which offers spectacular views over the rich forests of Manali
and Kullu. From the top, we have an exciting 2000m descent to our hotel
in Manali.
Day 13. Manali:
A day to relax or wander in the bazaar. Also visit to Hidamba Temples, set
in beautiful pine forest. All meals and overnight in hotel.
Day
14. Manali to Delhi:
After early breakfast drive 570kms about 11hrs, through the foothills of
Himalaya, dense forests, picturesque villages and onwards through the plains
of Punjab. Arrive Delhi and stay overnight in hotel.
Day
15. Delhi:
After breakfast a full days guided sightseeing of Old and New Delhi, visiting
Red Fort, Hamayuns Tomb, India Gate and colourful bazaars.
Day
16. Departure:
Early morning departure transfer for your return flight.
