Horse Riding Tour
It was the dawn of the Great Mughal Empire that horses were first integrated into everybody life in India and since then riding has been a major means of transport. The fearsome Rajputs, as they stampeded across the plains and mountain passes, depended on the fleetness of their horses for success in battle. They spent years trying to breed superior horses, hoping to outdo their rivals, eventually enabling them to conquer much of the Subcontinent. This rivalry lives on today in the form of fierce competitions at annually held 'cattle' fairs, on the glamorous polo fields of Rajasthan and on India's thriving race-tracks. The Rajput's swiftest horses were bred in Mewar, Marwar and Kathiwar and still maintain their reputation of superiority today. Travelling on horseback is the best possible way to see the countryside taking you through desert forest, small oases, tribal lands, rolling hills, rural villages and forested foothills. The scenery encountered on each journey varies enormously and the suggested routes can be shortened or lengthened to suit your requirements. paddy fields and across canals. We will also pass the Chamundi Temple on
the top of the Chamundi Hill. Evening performance by folk artist. O/n camp.

Ride to Nanjungud, famous for the Lord Shiva Temple. Evening performance
by folk artist.

Ride towards Suttur famous for its mutt (a religious institute). The ride
to Suttur is very scenic. Evening folk dance show.

Ride to 1. Naraispura through canals and fields. Overnight at camp. Evening
bullock 'theme' party.
