We Provided all Informations about National Parks in Africa: Ol Donyo Sabuk Reserve, Ol Donyo Sabuk Reserve America, About Ol Donyo Sabuk Reserve, Ol Donyo Sabuk Reserve Travel Information
OL Doinyo Sabuk is a minute reserve of only 18 square kilometres (seven square miles) which used to be the residence of the American, Sir Northrop MacMillan, who is buried on his reputedly hauntedhomesite at the foot of the hill. The park is located just 15 kilometres (nine miles) northeast of Nairobi, near Thika.
The hill, also known as Kilima Mbogo ("Buffalo Hill" in Swahili), is a granitic kopje rising above the surrounding plain. It is almost entirely forested except for a small patch at the top. The area is inhabited by buffalo and bushbuck, but they are hard to see because of the dense undergrowth. Admission is free. There is no accommodation available, but it makes a very interesting and pleasant day trip from Nairobi.
