These walking mobile safaris have come to be known as THE wilderness experience of the South Luangwa National Park, which is renowned for its natural beauty and a variety and concentration of wildlife that makes it one of the finest game viewing destinations in Africa. It is one of the last unspoilt wilderness areas and as much of it is closed during the rainy season, each year it has the opportunity to become "wild" once again.
After 2 nights at Nkwali Camp, the party drives up to the remote north of the park where for 5 days the group follows the Mupamadzi River, covering approximately 10km a day. The river is a major tributary of the Luangwa and in this remote and wild terrain the game is shy and unused to man. From bugs to buffalo, tracks to trees your experienced guide will ensure you an interactive African experience that few safaris can match.
The fully serviced mobile camp is home base on the Mupamadzi River. A final three nights at Tena Tena complete the safari.
