Day 1
Heathrow/Havana: Non stop Air Jamaica flight to Havana.
Transfer to Miramar Hotel for 3 nights. (RO)
Day 2
Havana: Visit to Old and Modern Havana including lunch a local restaurant. Sightseeing to include Arms Square, Cathedral Square and Revolution Square where Fidel addresses the Cuban people.
Day 3
Havana: A day to follow Hemingway’s trail. Drive to Finca La Vigia, the Nobel Prize’s former home. Continue to the picturesque village of Cojimar to lunch at the writer’s favourite local restaurant. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4
Havana/Cienfuegos: Depart Havana for Guama to visit a crocodile breeding farm and then a short boat trip to the replica of a Taino Indian Village in Treasure Lagoon, home of migrator, birds and endemic species. Overnight: Hotel Jagua.
Day 5
Cienfuegos/Trinidad: Tour of Cienfuegos Cuba’s most European city and visit to a botanical garden. Overnight: Las Cuervas Hotel.
Day 6
Trinidad/Sancti Spiritus: Tour of Trinidad Spanish colonial town now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to historic Sancti Spiritus for a short city tour. Overnight: Rancho Hatuey.
Day 7
Sancti Spiritus/Camaguey: Visit the small town of Florence and then continue to Camaguey. Overnight: Hotel Colon
Day 8
Camaguey/Bayamo: Tour of Camaguey, a labyrinth of one-way streets running off at odd angles and full of old churches and little squares. Continue to Bayamo & overnight: Sierra Maestra.
Day 9
Bayamo/Santiago de Cuba: Morning tour of Bayamo. Chance to enjoy some traditional Cuban music in the Trobadours House. Overnight: Melia Santiago
Day 10
Santiago de Cuba: Tour of Cuba’s second largest city, including Antonio Maceo Revolution Square, Cespedes Park. the Moncada Garrison (Fortress attacked by Fidel and a grouof revolutionaries during Batista times in 1953) and Morro Castle (now World Heritage site).
Day 11
Santiago de Cuba/Baconao Park: Visit to Cuba’s largest Natural Park. On route make a short stop at the Siboney Far—where the attack to the Moncada Garrison was planned by Fidel. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 12
Santiago de Cuba/HavanaNaradero: Transfer by air back tc Havana and then continue by road to Varadero, 90 miles to the east.
Days 13-14
Varadero: At leisure in Varadero.
Day 15
Varadero/Havana/Heathrow: Morning at leisure before transfer to Havana airport to catch your flight back home with Air Jamaica.
Day 16
Heathrow: Morning arrival.
