Day 1 (Latin America Tour)
Gatwick/Cancun: Morning departure on Air 2000, non-stop from Gatwick. Transferto the Radisson Hacienda in downtown Cancun. (RO)
Day 2 (Latin America Tour)
Cancun/Chichen Itza: Leave Cancun to visit one of the finest Maya-Toltec sites at Chichen Itza & then the cenote at Dzitnup. Overnight Mayaland Hotel. (8)
Day 3 (Latin America Tour)
Chichen Itza/Merida: After breakfast travel to Merida, a former Maya stronghold, but now more famous for its colonial legacy. En route, visit Izamal to explore the convent ‘ holding the second largest atrium in the world. Afternoon Merida city tour. Overnight El Conquistador Hotel (8)
Day 4 (Latin America Tour)
Merida/Uxmal: This morning set off for Celestun to see the wonderful bird life & especially the flamingos, which inhabit the area. Continue to Uxmal & the Hacienda Uxmal for the night, (8)
Day 5 (Latin America Tour)
Uxmal: This morning visit the ruins of Uxmal. Afterwards set off to see the Mayan sites on the ‘Ruta Puuc’. Visit Kabah, Labna, Sayil and the Caves of Loltun. Return to Uxmal with plenty of time to see the ‘Light and Sound’ show (at extra charge). (8)
Day 6 (Latin America Tour)
Uxmal/Merida/Coba: Today return to Merida & continue to Coba which boasts one of Yucatan’s highest pyramids. After a tour of the ruins retire to the Villas Arqueologicas, your overnight hotel. (8)
Day 7 (Latin America Tour)
Coba/Cancun: After breakfast drive towards the coast and the ruins at Tulum. Afterwards visit the ecological park of Xcaret. Arrive Cancun late afternoon & the Calinda Beach, Cancun (see p.133), (Al)
Day 8 (Latin America Tour)
Cancun/Gatwick: Depart on your evening Air 2000 flight home, non-stop to Gatwick. (Al)
