Amazingly the Bahamas comprises more than 700 island and 2500 cays. The main islands offer luxury, casinos, yachts, shopping, fine dining and golf course not to mention the dazzling white sand beaches.
Cosmopolitan Nassau has all the glitz of Las Vegas with casinos and lavishly themed hotels most set on lovely stretches of sandy beach. The Bahamas are best visited in summer (June to August), it can get chilly in the evenings between December and February. The US dollar is widely accepted. US dollar travellers cheques are readily cashed, but some exchange bureaux, hotels and restaurants charge large fees. ATMs can be found at all main tourist centres.
• Swim with the Dolphins
- This 3 hour trip offers a unique opportunity to swim with dolphins at the Dolphin Terminal on Paradise Island. Enter their home and discover the dolphin’s amazing world. Then enjoy an unforgettable 30 minute swim - stroke and pet their smooth skin, they will even take you on a high speed ‘foot push’ before performing aerials. Hotel transfers not included.
