Day 1
Arrive Sao Paulo.
Transfer to your hotel. Airport is located approx. 45 min. drive from downtown when traffic is fine. Evening free at leisure.
Day 2
Sao Paulo
Breakfast followed by Half Day City Tour with visits to the University Campus, Ibirapuera Park and monuments and a special visit to the Butatan Snake-Farm and Museum. Drive through the old and modern downtown and the Oriental districts.
Day 3
Iguassu
Breakfast. Transfer to Airport for your flight to Isuassu. Upon Arrival, you will be transferred to you hotel. After noon will devoted to Brazilian Falls Tour .
After a drive from downtown passengers are taken to the beginning of a pathway winding down to the observation decks. One finds groups of coati mundi along the way. Reaching the observation decks a beautiful view opening to all sides and a breathtaking panoramic view. Iguazu Falls this wonder of nature is shared by Brazil and Argentina and there are approximately 275 falls spread over 2.7 km.
Important Note: The Parque Nacional de Iguaçu, at the Brazilian side is closed on Monday morning.
Day 4
Iguassu
BRAZILIAN BREAKFAST. Later depart for Argentina Falls including eco-train.
After a quick customs check, we cross the Tancredo Neves (Fraternity) bridge over the Iguassu river, which forms the border between Argentina and Brazil. Once in Argentina, we take a scenic highway up to the Argentine Iguazu Park. The visit of the Argentinean Falls starts at the central station of the ecologic tourist train. From there, the little train brings the visitors very close to the famous devil’s throat, where the visitors walk the last 1200 meters on a gangway to look right into the throat. Then, the train returns to the central station, from where visitors will discover the sights of the upper circuit by walking (approx. 45 minutes).
Day 5
Iguassu - Rio
BRAZILIAN BREAKFAST. Later depart for HALF DAY ITAIPU DAM Being an industrial plant, the tour operates Mondays to Fridays. The plant is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Brazilian and Paraguayan public holidays. Visiting hours are limited to 8:00 / 10:00 hrs and 14:00 / 16:00 hrs.
Itaipu is the world’s largest electrical generating capacity and could be considered a technological wonder. Passing through the Iguassu National Park and downtown Foz do Iguassu. After a 35km ride, arrival at the Itaipu Public Relations Center, for a 30-minute film presentation showing the phases of construction and operation of this engineering monument. After this visit, tour the dam by bus and stop at different panoramic viewpoints. The spectacle of the spillway of the dam, with its huge flow of water is particularly impressive. In the Evening you are transferred to airport for you flight to RIO. Upon Arrival you are transferred to your hotel.
Day 6
BRAZILIAN BREAKFAST Transfer to Airport for your flight for India
Day 7
BRAZILIAN BREAKFAST. Later go on HALFDAY SUGAR LOAF tour Passing by downtown, one will be enchanted by the many historical buildings like the chapel of Our Lady of Glory, Municipal Theatre, Fine Arts Museum and the National Library, the colonial aqueduct, overlooking the modern Cathedral. Arriving at Praia Vermelha for a visit to the Sugar Loaf in 2 stages to reach the summit on a modern diamond shaped cable car. First to the top of Urca Hill and a second to the summit, the view from these 2 vantage points is unsurpassable.
Day 8
BRAZILIAN BREAKFAST Followed by Half Day Corcovado Tour Tour passing by the beautiful beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and lovely 19th century mansions of Cosme Velho. Reaching the Corcovado mountain cog-wheel train station we board the train for a 20 minute ride through the lush green scenery and fresh mountain air. Reaching the top a never ending view of the whole city at one’s feet and the surrounding mountains and Guanabara bay. (Round trip transfers and cog-wheel ticket included).
Day 9
BRAZILIAN BREAKFAST followed by Half Day Colonial City Tour and Niterói Bridge
Visiting some of Rio’s landmarks, this historical tour will be enjoyed by
the participants. You will visit "Praça XV" (named after the date of proclamation
of the republic) and center of Rio. It is an impressive complex of colonial,
baroque and modern architecture, including museums, Candelária Church and
São Bento Monastery - the city's richest historical building - Mauá Square,
Presidente Vargas ave., Sambodromo, Rio Branco Avenue and the cathedral. After
that, through the Presidente Costa e Silva bridge that cross the Guanabara
Bay, a small visit to the Niteroi city, in the other side of the bay.
