The mighty Zambezi River as it divides Zimbabwe and its northerly neighbour, Zambia, travels through some of Africa's most spectacular countryside. Above Victoria Falls the river is swollen and lazy, elephant come to drink and there are beautiful islands, the drama of the Falls is followed by a series of narrow cataracts and gorges, before the river reaches Lake Kariba, one of the world's largest man-made lakes. Not far to the east the Zambezi flows through two of Africa's most beautiful National Parks - the Lower Zambezi on the Zambian side and the Mana Pools National Park on the Zimbawean side.
The Zambezi safari introduces you to the many moods of this mighty river, and whilst its pace may change it is the lifeblood of this African region and attracts abundant wildlife and bird life, it provides excitement and breathtaking scenery.
The last few days spent at Victoria Falls can be as relaxed or as active as you wish. Those wanting to relax can enjoy the hotel grounds and pool, shop in the local market and perhaps take a gentle sunset cruise, for those after an adrenalin rush try rafting or boogie boarding the rapids, bungy jumping or a micro light flight … Victoria Falls serves up adventure to suit even the most avid thrill seeker!
Day 01 - 02 Victoria Falls, Matetsi Game Reserve
On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred to Matetsi Game Reserve for your two night stay.
Day 03 - Mana Pools National Park, Chikwenya Camp
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kariba where you transfer to a charter aircraft and fly to the Mana Pools National Park for your overnight stay at Chikwenya Camp.
Day 04 - 06 Canoe safari begins
Today begins one of Africa's greatest adventures - Natureways Canoe Safari.
Day 07 - 08 Victoria Falls, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
Your guide will transfer you to a charter flight to Kariba in time for your return flight to Victoria Falls where you will be met and transferred to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge for your 2 night stay.
Day 09 - Safari ends Your safari ends with a transfer to Victoria Falls Airport.
