For the adventurous traveller this is one of the best ways to experience the African bush and more often than not, this safari is the highlight of an African journey.
Travelling silently by canoe, slipping along the great wide stretches of river and meandering the back channels you can get much closer to nature. Paddle to within meters of the wildlife that comes to drink on the shore and enjoy the spectacle as hundreds of beautiful bright carmine bee-eaters leave their clay hole nests in the banks - on the river the nature of Africa is simply over whelming.
Equally important is the fact that you are participating in the experience, this is a hands on safari and although the paddling is not hard and the pace is very easy - you do have to paddle your own canoe. Your guide will instruct you on canoe technique and on safety. Keep in mind that Zimbabwe's canoe guides are amongst the most qualified guides in Africa and that our canoe operator is owned by two of the continents most respected guides.
