One of the newer operations, Valdez Heli-Camps offer a wide array of deals over a relatively long season - starting on February 6th and continuing through to May 15th. Packages commonly last either three or six days, with capacity for 20 skiers staying in double rooms at the Heli-Camps lodge.
There is also single-day skiing for those with time pressure. But you can pay for extra ones as the weather and the demand for the helicopter allows. Three-day packages guarantee 12,000 vertical metres of skiing and double
To get exclusive use of the helicopter, you can try private hire. Or for something a little different there is the Touring Hut. Situated over 1200m above Prince William Sound, the hut can comfortably sleep six. Guides are optional.
Valdez Hen-Ski Guides
Run by Doug Coombs, a former extreme skiing world champion, Valdez Heli-Ski Guides is not the place to experience Heliskiing for the first time. The country they cover is rough and tough, and in common with other operators in the area, standard gear issued to skiers includes avalanche transceivers. Their package is simplicity itself, with only single days on offer.
