Kayak across the Verde Passage Anilao and Puerto Galera will host a unique three-day marine sports challenge Aunique array of marine sporting challenges will test competitors at the first-ever "Anilao-Puerto Galera Challanges which takes place at two of the most popular travel destinations in the Philippines. Both Anilao and Puerto Galera are ma­ne sanctuaries, and will serve as perfect backdrops for the three water based sporting events that comprise this exciting post event of the Philippine International Travel & Trade Show.

Heading the different sporting events on offer at the three-day festival is the novel "Aquathlon" — a triathlon with a kayaking twist. The three discipline event is made up of a 2 km finswim, a 10 km kayak race and rounds off with a 5km run.

Endurance will be the name of the same for the three-leg, 46km Kayak Marathon. The first leg sees competitors pad-die 24km from Anilao to Bonito Island, while next is a 14km stretch from Bonito to White Beach, near Puerto Galera. Last but not least is the finishing 6km leg from White Beach to Big La Laguna beach. Scuba divers are also well looked after at the event, and can choose from a Dive-Orienteering competition and two Dive-Photo competitions — for stills and video.

As part of the Philippine Kayaking Centennial Series, the event will be held under the auspices of the Philippine Kayaking Association, the I-P "biathlon Club, the Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving (PCSSD) and Seatrck International. Additionally, the whole­hearted support of the host resorts of Anilao and Puerto Galera will ensure a warm welcome for all competitors.
