Day 1: Fly UK to Delhi
Day 2: Arrive Delhi
Meals: Dinner at
Hotel Sunbird
Arrival at 04.55 hrs at Delhi International
Airport. You will be met at arrivals
by an Asian Adventures representative
and taken to Nehru Intercontinental
Hotel for breakfast (to pay directly).
Spend the morning sightseeing in Delhi
with a guide. Drive to Bharatpur in
the afternoon. Night at Hotel Sunbird.
Day 3, 4 & 5: Bharatpur
Meals: Breakfast,
lunch and dinner
Enjoy birding with an experienced guide
each day at Bharatpur National Park
(by bicycle or cycle rickshaw). In the
wetland and woodland areas you should
see Large-tailed and Grey Nightjars,
Dusky Eagle-owl, possibly Black Bittern
(water level dependent) and a wide variety
of ducks, storks, egrets and birds of
prey. Also, spend time in the dry areas
(at the far end of the National Park)
to look for Indian Courser, Weaver Birds
and ask to see Indian Python. Nights
at Hotel Sunbird.

Day 6: Bharatpur -
Agra - Umeria
Meals: Breakfast,
lunch and packed dinner
Spend the final morning in Bharatpur
National Park on bikes on you own. After
an early lunch drive to Agra to board
the overnight (2nd class a/c sleeper)
train for Umeria departing at 15.00
hrs. Night on the train. Bedding supplied.
Your compartment will not have a door.
Day 7: Umeria - Bandhavgarh
Meals: Lunch and
dinner
You will be met on arrival (05.30 -
06.00 hrs) at the train station and
taken by car (40 mins) to check in at
Bandhavgarh Jungle Resort. Rest of morning
at leisure. Afternoon jeep safari in
search of Bengal Tiger and many other
species of mammals and birds. Night
at Bandhavgarh Jungle Resort.
Day 8 & 9: Bandhavgarh
Meals: Breakfast,
lunch and dinner
Explore this beautiful park over the
course of an early morning and afternoon
jeep drive each day. If the opportunity
arises transfer on to an elephant to
search for tiger (payable directly and
excluded from the cost). Nights at Bandhavgarh
Jungle Resort.
Day 10: Bandhavgarh
- Panna
Meals: Breakfast,
lunch and dinner
Enjoy a final safari in the park, then
after lunch drive to Panna (4 hrs) arriving
late afternoon for relaxation and a
walk along the River Ken if you so wish.
Night at Panna Tiger Resort.
Day 11 & 12: Panna
Meals: Breakfast,
lunch and dinner
Appreciate the tranquility of morning
and afternoon jeep drives in Panna National
Park, one of the lesser known tiger
reserves with far fewer jeeps than some
of the more well known places. Whilst
vultures are far more scarce than 10
years ago, you should still see a variety
of species including Indian and Red-headed
Vultures. Night at Panna Tiger Resort.
Day 13: Panna - Khajuraho
- Jhansi - Agra.
Meals: Breakfast
and lunch
Spend some time walking along the river
or relaxing around the cottages. Set
off late morning and drive (1/2 hr)
to visit Khajuraho Temples on the way
to Jhansi (a further 3 hrs drive). Allow
plenty of time to catch the 18.00 hrs
train from Jhansi to Agra arriving at
approx. 21.00 hrs. On arrival at Agra
you will be met at the train station
and taken to Hotel Pushp Villa or similar.
Day 14: Agra - Mathura
- Lal Kuan
Meals: Breakfast
Visit the Taj Mahal (closed on a Friday)
for dawn. Return for breakfast, and
then visit the impressive Red Fort.
After lunch (to be paid directly), drive
to Mathura to catch the 2nd class overnight
sleeper train departing at 23.15 hrs
for Lal Kuan. Night on the train.

Day 15: Lal Kuan -
Sat Tal - Pangot
Meals: Breakfast,
lunch and dinner
You will be met on arrival at 08.45
hrs and driven (2 hrs) to Sat Tal for
breakfast at Green Glen Lodge. Spend
a few hours exploring the Sat Tal area
with a guide. After lunch at Green Glen
Lodge continue your journey to Pangot
near Nainital (a further 1 ½
hrs drive). Night at Jungle Lore Birding
Lodge.
Day 16: Pangot
Meals: Breakfast,
lunch and dinner
Explore Timla Pani Valley and Ghu Ghu
Khan areas with a guide.
Night at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge
Day 17: Pangot
Meals: Breakfast,
lunch and dinner
Explore Kilbury and Snow View (above
Nainital) with a guide.
Night at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge
Day 18: Pangot - Corbett
Meals: Breakfast/packed
breakfast, lunch and dinner
After early breakfast drive to Kumeria
area of forest (near Corbett) and the
Kosi River by Quality Inn to search
for Tawny Fish -owl, Great Slaty Woodpecker,
Brown Dipper, Wallcreeper, Forktails
and Pallas' Fish Eagle. Check in at
Tiger Camp. Spend the rest of the day
exploring the Kosi River behind Tiger
Camp with a guide. Night at Tiger Camp.
Day 19: Corbett
Meals: Breakfast/packed
breakfast, lunch and dinner
All day in Tiger Camp area to visit
Bijrani and Jhirna Forest areas. Great
Indian Pied Hornbill, Bengal Tiger,
Asian Elephants etc all possible. Night
at Tiger Camp.
Day 20: Corbett
Meals: Breakfast/packed
breakfast, lunch and dinner
Drive by jeep to Dhikala in the heart
of Corbett National Park. This is a
safari in itself.
Night at Dhikala Forest Lodge.

Day 21: Corbett

Early morning elephant safari, followed
by jeep safari in the afternoon.
Night at Tiger Camp.
Day 22: Corbett - Delhi
Meals: Breakfast
and lunch
Spend the morning birding in the Tiger
Camp area with a guide. After an early
lunch drive back to Delhi (5-6 hrs)
arriving late afternoon. Night at Hotel
Vikram/India Habitat Centre or similar.
Day 23: Drive to airport
for 06.55 flight back to the UK
