Ranthambore is the royal hunting place for the Maharajas
of Jaipur in the earlier time. But todays it is the famous Tiger reserves
of India. One of the best place to see such kind of majestic predators in
the wild. Tiger can be seen in the day time with their normal schedule hunting
their prey, taking care their young cubs and resting under a shrub. The
best time to visit the Ranthabore Wildlife Sanctuary is from November to
April when the nature is quite suitable for the dry deciduous forest.
The Ranthambore National Park covers an area of 392 sq. km. It is in the
mid of Aravalli and Vindhyachal Hill ranges. The terrains are rugged and
there are rocky ridges, open valleys, hills polls and lakes that makes the
park beautiful, and create the picturesque sightseens.
In Ranthambore National Parks there are large no. of Sambhar, Chital, Blue
Cow (Nilgai), Chinkara, Indian hare, mongoose and monitor lizards. Leopard,
Hyena, jackal, jungle Cats, sloth bear and many species of crocodile also
can be seen here. There is a fine lake and a pool where all these animal
can be seen easily.
Besides these animal species, the Jacanas, painted stork, white necked stork,
black stork, peafowl, Bonelli's eagle, crested serpent eagle, the great
Indian horned owl, quail, partridge, fowl and spur fowl can be seen.
The Parks has also its own luxurious accommodations. Tiger Den Resorts and
Sawai Madhopur Lodge. Both the accommodations in the park to give a very
clear view and real experience of wildlife. The rooms and tents are luxurious
with all the modern amenities.
