Day 1: Arrival Chennai
Upon your arrival in Chennai, a warSouth India Wildlife Tourm welcome by our representative at the airport/railway station, followed by transfer to the hotel. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Chennai
After breakfast, leave for city sightseeing tour of Chennai, covering Parthsarthy Temple, Kapaleeshwar Temple, Fort St. George, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and National Art Gallery. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Chennai - Madurai
After breakfast transfer to the airport to catch flight for Madurai. Upon arrival in Madurai, transfer to the hotel. Afternoon: city tour of Madurai, visiting the Meenakshi temple and Nayak Palace. Over night stay at the hotel in Madurai.
Day 4: Madurai/Munnar
After breakfast, proceed for 5 hours long drive to Munnar, the famous hill station in Southern India. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and visit the beautiful tea plantations and wildlife sanctuary in the evening. Over night stay at the hotel in Munnar.
Day 5: Munnar
The full day at leisure with the option for trekking or visiting further a field bird and wildlife sanctuaries. Over night stay at the hotel in Munnar.
Day 6: Munnar - Periyar
After breakfast, proceed for 3 hours drive to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Afternoon take a 2 hour boat ride on Lake Periyar where the animals come down to the water's edge. Over night stay at the hotel in Periyar.
Day 7: Periyar
After breakfast, embark on a spice plantation tour with optional elephant ride or a half day trek. Enjoy boat riding in the evening on Lake Periyar. Over night stay at the hotel in Periyar.
Day 8: Periyar-Kumarakom
After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom. Upon arrival, transfer to the houseboat to travel through the coconut palm lined backwaters towards Alleppey. Kumarakom is the home of a migratory bird sanctuary (best time to visit here is between Nov & Feb). Enjoy Lunch, Dinner on the houseboat. Over night stay on board the Houseboat.
Day 9: Alleppey - Cochin Cochin Tour Packages
The houseboat will arrive Alleppey in the morning. After breakfast on board, check out from the house boat and proceed for 2 hours drive to Cochin. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Watch a performance of Kathakali Dancing in the evening. Over night stay at the hotel in Cochin.
Day 10: Cochin
After breakfast, proceed for city sightseeing at of Cochin, visiting Fort Cochin, St Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Spice market and Antique markets. Enjoy boat riding in the evening at the time of sunset on Cochin Harbour where you have a chance of seeing dolphins. Over night stay at the hotel in Cochin.
Day 11: Cochin-Wyanad
After breakfast, Proceed for 7-8 hours drive to Wyanad hill station en route visiting Calicut. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel / resort. Enjoy evening at leisure. Over night stay at the hotel in Wyanad.
Day 12: Wyanad
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Thollpetty Wildlife sanctuary. Spend evening at leisure. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 13: Wyanad-Mudumalai
After breakfast, proceed for Mudumalai. Upon arrival, check in at the Tree House / Deluxe cottage at Wild Canopy Reserve. Proceed for a Jeep safari through this peaceful and pristine reserve and enjoy watching wild animals and rare birds. Over night stay at the Tree House / Cottage.
Day 14: Mudumalai/BR Hills
Early morning trekking or optional Jeep safari at the Wild canopy reserve. Upon arrival, enjoy the breakfast and check out from the tree house / cottage and proceed for 3 hour's drive to the BR Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival, check in at the resort. Afternoon is free for jungle activities which include Jeep safaris, elephant rides and trekking. Over night stay at the resort in BR Hills.
Day 15: BR Hills
Morning and afternoon jungle activities at BR Hills Camp. Over night stay at the resort.
Day 16: BR Hills-Mysore Mysore Palace, Mysore Tour Packagres
Early morning Jungle Activities. Return for breakfast in the resort and then check out from the resort and proceed for drive 2 hours drive to Mysore. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Afternoon: visit to Mysore Palace. Over night stay at the hotel in Mysore.
Day 17: Mysore
After breakfast, proceed for morning sightseeing tour in and around Mysore. Afternoon at leisure. Over night stay at the hotel in Mysore.
Day 18: Mysore - Banglore - Home
After breakfast, proceed for 4 hours drive to Bangalore en route visiting Srirangapatanam, the summer palace of Tipu Sultan. Visit the local bazaars of Bangalore during the day. Evening: transfer to the airport to board flight for your return journey.
