You will be amazed by Botswana's natural attractions and the variety of experiences you will have on this safari.
Chobe National Park is a legendary elephant refuge and it is likely that you will see more elephant than you ever imagined possible, during your two night stay. Winging your way by charter flight across the vastness of Botswana gives you some perspective and provides the perfect first glimpse of the Okavango Delta, the world's largest inland delta system. From exclusive small lodges, knowledgeable guides reveal to you its secret world. Enjoy safaris on foot, exploring the islands and the calming meander of a mokoro (local wooden canoe) ride through the labyrinth of waterways and swamps.
As a perfect ending and a stunning contrast to the wetlands of the Delta, your safari ends with a three night stay on the edge of beyond … the Makgadikgadi Pans. Here qualified zoologists/biologists will explain the fascinating aspects of desert life and Bushmen trackers will explain the connection between their fascinating culture and the natural environment. Your base will be a luxurious and rustic tented camp that oozes the old world charm of 1920's style safaris.
This is a chance to see Africa the way it used to be - wild, free and ruled entirely by nature
Day 01 to 03 - Chobe National Park, Muchenje Safari Camp
You will be collected from either Victoria Falls Airport or from your Victoria Falls Hotel for the road transfer into Botswana and on to Muchenje Safari Camp. This drive will take up to 3 hours in total, depending on the border crossing. Stay for two nights at Muchenje.
Day 03 to 06 - Okavango Delta, Wilderness Safari Camps
Your Muchenje safari guide will deliver you to Kasane Airport (about 45 minutes drive through the National Park) for your light aircraft flight across Botswana and into the Okavango Delta.
5 night stay in the Delta you will have the choice of two safari camps and we recommend that you experience both a "wet and a dry" camp. A wet camp is one that offers an excellent range of water based activities and a dry camp offers predominantly game drives and walks. The combination ensures that you experience all aspects of the Okavango. If you are a keen naturalist and birder then three nights in a wet camp is probably preferable, for those in search of big game then 3 nights in the dry camp will be more rewarding.
Day 06 to 08 - Okavango Delta, Wilderness Safari Camps
Transfer to your camp's airstrip for the light aircraft flight across the Delta to the next of your Wilderness Safari Camps for a two night stay.
Day 08 to 11 - Makgadikgadi Pans, Jack's or San Camp
A light aircraft flight will take you from the Delta to the vast expanses of the Makgadikgadi Pans where your guides will meet you and transfer you to either Jack's or San Camp. Spend three nights exploring the Pans, which are part of the Kalahari Desert, with qualified guides who bring this emptiness to life.
Day 11 - Makgadikgadi Pans, Jack's or San Camp
Your safari ends with a charter flight to Maun.
