Your safari begins in Maun, gateway to the Okavango Delta and reached by flight from Johannesburg or Victoria Falls, which would make a great starting point for a customised safari.
From Maun wing your way by charter flight across the vastness of Botswana giving you some perspective of the size and magnificence of the Okavango Delta - the world's largest inland delta system. There are many great camps in Botswana's Okavango Delta but the two recommend here are unique in their own way. Chief's Camp is located on Chief's Island and is renowned for its high concentration of predators including lion, wild dog or painted hunting dog, leopard and cheetah. This area is apart of the famous Mombo Concession and many a Big Cat documentary have been filmed here.
Throughout your safari you can expect to see elephant but at Stanley's Camp you will have a unique experience to totally interact with elephants. Spend a day with a semi-habituated African elephant family and observe them up close in their natural environment, let the guides answer all your questions and come away with an in-depth knowledge of the elephant and its part in natures web.
Day 01 to 03 - Okavango Delta, Chief's Camp
On arrival in Maun you will be met and transferred to your charter flight to Chief's Camp, located in the legendary (for big cats & predators) Mombo Concession. Spend 3 nights in this luxury camp which includes all meals and activities during your stay.
Day 04 & 05 - Okavango Delta, Stanley's Camp
Transfer from Chief's to Stanley's Camp by light aircraft flight and spend two nights at Stanley's again with all meals and activities included. Stanley's provides a unique opportunity to interact with a herd of semi-wild elephant.
Day 06 - Return to Maun for your onward flight
Your safari ends with a charter flight to Maun.
