Trekking Ladakh Himalayas

Days
Day 1
Fly to India.
Day 2
Arrive Delhi and transfer for one hour, superb flight over the majestic himalayas to Leh (3505 M). On arrival in Leh, transfer by jeeps to a Ladakhi style hotel for next three nights. Relax for the reminder of the day and acclimatize to the high altitude.
Day 3 & Day 4
A day spent acclimatizing and visiting the local bazaar, with its Tibetan traders in colourful local costumes. We will also visit Hemis, Thiksey and Shankar Monasteries and Shey and Leh Palace, which offer beautiful views of the Indus Valley and the Zanskar mountain range.
Day 5 to day 15
We start the day with a beautiful drive to the picturesque Lamayuru Gompa - hidden in the folds of rugged mountain. We start our fascinating trek passing by the beautiful monastery of Wanla and through villages at Hinju and Sumdo Chinmu. We cross Zanskar river by trolley at Chilling and then over hight passes of Gonda La (4970 M) and Stok La (4900 M) to Stok Kangri base camp.
Day 16 to Day 18
We will set our base camp at around 5,100 M from where we will attempt to summit the Stok Kangri Peak (6153M). The route ascends over scree and boulders, on an exposed ridge to the summit. From the top we will be rewarded with incredible views of the surrounding peaks.
Day 19 Himalayas
We trek back to the imposing Palace of Stok, built during 1840s, where we will also visit the museum, before driving back to our hotel in Leh. Evening celebrations in hotel garden.
Day 20
Early morning return flight over the Himalayas is a fitting farewell to this adventurous journey. We arrive in Delhi and afternoon is free for shopping or exploring 16th century monuments in Old Delhi. Evening transfer to the international airport.

Flight back to your home country.
