As well as the magnificent Rockies, with
their soaring peaks,
photogenic wildlife, ski and summer resorts, Alberta is also
cowboy country, with vast ranches producing the world's best
beef.
But, this was also the home of dinosaurs and still has
some of the world's richest archaeological treasures. On the urban front Edmonton
and Calgary two of Canada's most dynamic cities.
TOURING:
Superlatives don't do justice to the Rockies and Banff and Jasper National Parks,
where spectacular panorama’s open up with every bend in the road. From
Banff, take the eight-minute gondola ride up sulpher Mountain for stunning views

MOVIE TIME:
Alberta grabbed the limelight recently, thanks to box office successes, such
as Brokeback Mountain and Robin Williams' RV. They were followed by The Assassination
o0esseJames by the Coward Robert Ford, starring Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck.
All show off Alberta's world-famous scenery. While off-duty, Pitt, Angelina
Joke and her children visited Drumheller's Royal Tyrrell Museum, with the world's
most extensive collection of dinosaur fossils.
THE GOOD LIFE:
Alberta boasts some of Canada's finest golf courses. The Northern Bear Golf
Club, near Edmonton, is a Jack Nicklaus signature course; Jasper Park Lodge
Golf Course has been rated Canada's No 1 Resort Course. Spas, such as The Willow
Stream Spa at The Fairmont Banff Springs, are world-class.

Capital EX Dews in Edmonton,
enjoy everything from traditional chuck wagon races, food and wine tasting to
the latest pop stars, live in concert (late is also home of the Fringe Theatre
festival, North America's largest, with 140 productions, 30 venues (end of August).
