Bharatpur located in the eastern part of the Rajasthan. it is founded by the maharaja Suraj Mal in the year 1733 A.D. The city named after the name of Bharat - the respected brother of lord Rama. The City is fortified by a massive wall alround the city. Now a days Bharatpur is known for its great bird Sanctuary and Keoladeo National Park, a paradise for indian and migrated siberian,chinese,tibbetian and european birds. The spotted ducks, ruddy shelduck, mallard, showeler, red crested pochard, crested serpent eagle, kingfisher, red vented and white cheeked bulbuls, qualis, partridges, sparrows, and variety of faunna and flora.
