9th day
Fly to Kathmandu in the temple-land of Nepal, surrounded by the snow-capped
Himalayas. Transfer to the Himalaya Hotel.
10th to 13th day
Kathmandu is an ancient city full of temples, old palaces and decoratively
carved houses. Climb up to Swayambhunath, the sacred temple, visit the medieval
towns of Pecan and Bhadgaon, Bodhnath, the oldest Buddhist slupa in the valley,
and Pasupatinath where only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple itself. An
optional overnight visit to the Dhulikel Mountain Resort with beautiful views
of the Himalayas, can be arranged. Although only an hour from Kathmandu, Dhulikel
offers a comp1ste contrast to the city. You can simply take it easy enjoying
the tranquillity of the surroundings, or take part in the short treks or other
activities such as rafting or fishing, which the resort is pleased to organise.
14th day
Return by air to Delhi and transfer to the Oberoi Maidens Hotel.
15th day
Early morning departure by British Airways for London Heathrow, where we arrive
later the same day.
