9th to 14th day
In Delhi, for relaxation, catching up on some shopping or alternatively taking one or two more unusual side-trips train the capital. May we suggest a short visit to the wildlife park of Sariska (best time December to March); birdwatchers in particular should enjoy this small reserve. Another excursion could be to romantic Mandawa in Rajasthan, famous for its 18th century frescoes which adorn many of the facades and courtyards in this remarkable little town. Accommodation is at Mandawa Castle, now imaginatively refurbished as a hotel, where one can capture the atmosphere and colour of princely India.
