Tucked up a narrow, steep pedestrian street with fantastic views over rooftops towards Mount's Bay and distant St Michael's Mount, this very special old cottage is a rare find. A short walk from bustling Mousehole's picturesque harbour and sandy beach, tea-rooms, well-known restaurant and excellent pub, Mount Pleasant Cottage has been strikingly refurbished, with the Owner living below in the self-contained basement flat. Inside, an eclectic design mix creates a contemporary yet homely feel, combining painted original floorboards (some sloping!) with pale laminate flooring, complementing the fresh white walls. Philippe Starck clear dining chairs and an eye-catching Vanity wall-mounted electric fire contrast harmoniously with the old farmhouse table and upright piano in the sitting/dining-room. Also on the ground floor is a beautifully fitted kitchen, a shower-room and a pretty double bedroom. Up the painted wooden stairs are the remaining bedrooms and family bathroom, and a comfortable second sitting-room with captivating sea views. A door leads outside onto a huge deck ilo and terraced gravelled garden, which both have fabulous views down to the harbour and sea beyond. This gorgeous cottage may be a short distance from the car park (one permit is provided), but with so much to offer, it is definitely worth it!
