Description of site: A forest sanctuary incorporating the lower reaches and floodplain of the Dihang river just north of its confluence with the Lohit river. Wetland habitats include riverine marshes, seasonally flooded grassland and riparian forest. There are several islands in the river, the largest of which is about 500 ha in area
